Sammy is a dedicated professional who currently serves as a Board Member with YMDAC. Alongside this role, Sammy is actively engaged with the Millwarparra Aboriginal Corporation (MAC) and the Indigenous Protected Area (IPA), offering valuable guidance and expertise. Recognised for a commitment to community engagement and organisational excellence, Sammy continues to make a positive impact in everything he does.

Lindsay serves as a dedicated board member of YMDAC and is a valued employee at Ngukurr School/Childcare. His commitment to education and community development is evident through his active contributions to improving the learning environment for children. With extensive experience in childcare and engagement in local initiatives, Lindsay demonstrates a strong dedication to fostering growth and opportunities for youth within the community.

Michelle is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in community service and law enforcement. She serves as a Board Member for YMDAC and works as an Aboriginal Liaison Officer with NT Police. In her role as Director at Sunrise Health, she focuses on enhancing health outcomes and actively participates in the RGRC to support local initiatives. Michelle is passionate about community involvement and truly makes an impact in all her endeavors.

Janita is a committed advocate serving as a Board Member of Yugul Mangi Development Aboriginal Corporation (YMDAC), where she contributes her expertise to support the organisation's mission. As the Director of Millwarparra Aboriginal Council (MAC), she plays a pivotal role in guiding initiatives that foster community development. Additionally, Janita leads the Ngukurr Language Centre, focusing on preserving and promoting local languages and cultures. Jim is a respected community elder and board member at YMDAC, known for his rock-solid presence and genuine commitment to serving others. With a larrikinish personality, he brings a unique blend of humor and warmth to every interaction. Jermaine John-Forest is a dedicated employee with the Roper Gulf Regional Council, where he contributes to the community's growth and development. In addition to role at the council, he serves as a board member for YMDAC, advocating for youth and community. Jermaine is passionate about making a positive impact in his region leveraging his skills and experience to support local programs and services. His commitment to community engagement and service evident in all his endeavors.

Rayner Woods serves as an Alternate Director of the Yugul Mangi Development Aboriginal Corporation (YMDAC).  She joins us from the Ritharrangu Clan.  Raynar works at the Ngukurr Guluman Centre, and is an integral member of the Childcare team.  She is actively involved in initiatives that contribute towards community employment and capacity building. Her dedication to fostering growth and opportunity within the community is commendable.

Jodie Miller serves as an Alternate Director for Yugul Mangi Development Aboriginal Corporation (YMDAC), joining us from ALAWA. With a dedicated role as a community support worker at Ngukurr Safe House, she actively supports the well-being of her community. Additionally, Jodie is a proud member of Yugul Mangi's Strongbala Pipul Wanbala Bois Komiti, showcasing her commitment to a positive impact.

Olga works at the core of YMDAC where she plays a crucial role in office administration, offering valuable business to the organisation. Additionally, she serves as a Proxy member of the Indigenous Protected Areas (IPA) board. With strong community skills, Olga is dedicated to fostering the growth and development of youth in her community.

Nicodemus is truly passionate about his role as an Aboriginal Liaison Officer with the Ngukurr Police! He absolutely loves supporting cultural events and playing a key role in keeping traditional values alive in the Ngukurr community. His dedication and energy really shine through as he works to connect the with the locals, making a truly authentic impact.

Ngandi/Ngalakan Man from Northeast Arnhem

Born and bred in Ngukurr, he supports the seven clans and extended region with cultural participation in ceremonies and the harmonious balance of lore. Owen is a Director of Yugul Mangi Development Aboriginal Corporation in Ngukurr and holds the Cultural Governance position supporting community and culture. Owen is a well respected leader and is on the Roper Gulf Regional council as a LA member and previously a Councillor for the Roper Gulf Region. Owens heart lies in protecting the culture and values of the seven clans of Ngukurr and maintaining balance of culture.  Additionally serving as an IPA member he is passionate about protecting his community and creating harmony within Ngukurr Region. Owen is passionate about the health and wellbeing of the community leading the way in physical social and emotional wellbeing. Owen leads the Ngukurr Bulldogs teams both male and female and has been a part of this for over 30 years.
